Toyota Repair: 97 Toyota Camry Automatic Transmission, toyota camry, toyota dealer

Question
My 97 Camry has 104k miles.  The transmission was "sticking" in one of the gears (2nd gear I believe), reving up to 4000 rpm before it would shift, not all of the time, but enough for me to take it in.  I had the transmission rebuilt, but the same problem is occurring.  In 6 weeks of looking at it and trying different things they have not been able to resolve it.  The last thing they did was replace the solenoid.  They are now telling me it must not be the transmission causing the problem.

I appreciate any assistance!

Answer
The transmission shift points are controlled by the on board computer, although this would be an unusual condition in this case I would not rule out that there may be a problem with it, I would recommend having a Toyota dealer take a look at it or tell the mechanics that are dealing with it now to substitute another computer.
