Toyota Repair: Life span of engine and timing chain, mile intervals, toyota corolla

Question
Hello ,
I just purchased a used 1994 Toyota Corolla (high milage 122485)
It seems to be operating very good. The two questions I have are: A)Can you give me an average of the lifespan of a well maintained 1.9/ 4cyl. 1994 Toyota motor. B) The average milage that one can expect out of the timing chain from factory new for this vehicle.

Thank you,
Jeff

Answer
How long an engine lasts depends entirely on how well it is taken care of(regular oil changes and tune ups) it can last well into the 250,000 mile range.
It doesn't have a timing chain but rather a timing belt which should be replaced at 60,000 mile intervals.
