Toyota Repair: Toyota Extra Care, genuine toyota, toyota dealer

Question
My 98 Toyoto Sienna is still covered under 7 year/100K Toyota Extra Care extended warrantee agreement.  I sent my car to Toyota dealer for the 30K service; however, I sent my van to a local repair shop for the regular maintainence service such as the routine oil change.  Will this automatically void my coverage?

No it won't void your coverage as long as you keep records, however, should there be a problem with the engine the warranty may not apply if the problem is lubrication related and it has a non-toyota oil filter installed, for instance, if there was an oil leak at the oil filter and there was engine damage because of lack of lubrication or loss of oil pressure they may not cover it.
I advise to use a genuine toyota oil filter just to avoid any possible problems.
