Toyota Repair: 1991 Toyota Camry 4 cyl, air intake hose, 1991 toyota camry

Question
I am planning to replace the distributor cap, wires and rotor on my newly acquired 1991 Toyota Camry - 2.0 liter.

It looks as though the distributor cap can be removed with the use of a long screw driver.

Is there anything "special" I need to know. I note there seems to be a hose in the way of removing the cap.

Thanks for your help.

Patrick

Answer
Hello Patrick, welcome to my expert page.
Remove the large air intake hose where it connects at the throttle body, remove the clips that hold on the air cleaner top and remove it with the hose, now there is room to remove the distributor cap, I recommend that you also replace the distributor rotor and the spark plugs, let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
