Tractor Repair: Allis Chalmers 170, allis chalmers, climbing a hill

Question
Why does my tractor come to a stop when climbing a hill or making a tight turn ? The engine rpm's don't go down, the tractor just slowly comes to a stop.

Thanks

Answer
Leon, there's a couple of reasons that could cause that....improper hydraulic fluid levels, but my best guess here is a bad clutch. You lose no rpm's but it stops when there is a load applied in a departure from a straight line. I would certainly check my clutch for wear and/or glazing. Good Luck!
