Question
hey, just purchased a 474 international,i changed the fuel filters and cannot get fuel to the filters now. thought i could turn engine over to start the fuel to the filters.what an i doing wrong ?? thanks for any help !! donnie

Answer
The fuel tank should be full before trying to bleed the filters so that the fuel level is higher than the filters.  Make sure you have good fuel flow from the tank.  The outlet fittings on the fuel tank like to plug up with dirt.  If you get the filters bled and it still won't start, you will have to loosen the injector line fittings at the injectors and turn the engine over until fuel squirts out and then tighten them back up again.  By turning the engine over without the filters being full, you may have gotten air in the injector lines.
