Triumph Repair: Crash pad replacement, metal crash, crash pad

I need some help.  I purchased a replacement crash pad from Victoria British which includes the yellow molded foam and the black pressed vinal covering.  My question is, what kind of adhesive do I use so that I don't damage the foam or vinal.  It must be glued to the stock metal crash pad insert which bolts to the car itself.  All the hardware stores just shrug their shoulders.

I have always use the 3M spray can of contact cement. It is available at most auto parts stores. I get mine at the NAPA stores. Spray it on both the vinyl piece and the foam and let it get tacky. It only takes a minute or less in warm weather. Be careful to put the two together in the correct position as they will be very difficult to relocate if you let them contact each other in the wrong position.
