UK Car Repair: 1991 RR Silver Spur II, shock absorber, spur ii

Question
QUESTION: Older car with only 90m km's.  Little things need to be tweaked but the most important one is that the rear suspension needs to be replaced.  Where can I get hold of an actual repair manual for the above vehicle, to give me a chance to fix somne of these things things.

ANSWER: When you say "rear suspension" what do you mean? I may know of a repair manual what is the VIN of your car and is it RHD or LHD?

QUESTION: sorry for the confusion.  the serial number is scazn02a5mcx35258 and it is a left hand drive.  I made a mistake by saying "rear" suspension, when in fact I meant the suspension of the entire car.

Brad Denis, Calgary
ANSWER: The part No of the manuals is TSD 5000. I will check and see if I have a copy available.  As for the suspension, other than bushes and ball joints there is little to service, i'm curious as to why it needs rebuilding?. You have the electronically controlled suspension which changes according to speed. If it fails it can give a very hard or very soft ride, tell me what the actual problem is.  How is Calgary these days I haven't been there since the early 70's, we, the British Army, had a large training facility at Suffield which I visited a number of times.

QUESTION: thanks again.  the actual problem is a very soft ride.  hope this helps.  Calgary is doing fine.  Oil prices are higher, the unemployment rate is less than 5% as is rental vacancy for both housing and offices.  Home sales, though cooling are at record highs for both average price and number of sales.  Frankly, we could use a little slowing down to get things more on an even keel.  As well, we have just passed a big milestone for us - we now officially have over one million people.  thanks again

Answer
The problem is in the electronics -check the fuses- the system is supposed to stiffen as speed increases. A sensor in the LF wheel signals the computer which in turn activates the shock absorber valves. It is quite complicated and you need someone who has the equipment and understanding to work on it.  I have heard that some people have installed regular shock absorbers!
