QUESTION: we had to flush the heater core because it was plugged and we had no heat coming from the heater. we then flushed the entire cooling system by taking the heater core hoses off and flushing through them now we have air in the system which we can't get out by bleeding the bleed screws which we found but don't know if we found them all. the car now gets hot immediately very hot what do we need to do now?

Answer
Wesley,
If you mean the car ENGINE is getting hot, then either:
- There is not enough coolant in the radiator/system.
- The thermostat is not opening after the warmup period.
- The water pump is bad, possibly broken impeller blades.

If you mean the INTERIOR of the car is getting hot:
- The temperature control valve is bad
- The controls to the valve are broken or disconnected.

I have NEVER heard of air causing a problem in any cooling system, other than because there is not enough or no coolant.  Fill it up and the air will eventually float to the top naturally.
