Volvo Repair: 2000 S40 Volvo center console bulbs, volvo center, three knobs

Help! I have removed the three knobs on the center console to replace the 3 burned out LED bulbs. I got the front plate off, but it seems to me the bulbs are removed from behind. Do I have to remove more of the console? Also, do I have to buy the bulbs from Volvo? I should know before I have to remove the entire console or something. Thank you in advance for your help. I have been trying to do more repairs with my Volvo on my own. I was able to remove the knobs and front part with a curved grapefruit knife and had great success. Bless you for any help.

Carole, yes, the radio needs to come out and you have to take the controller out from under the radio to access the bulbs.  Not sure which bulbs are in there.  Best way is to take them out and do a match up.  There are 4 screws holding the controller in.  Roger
