Volvo Repair: 1996 volvo850 turbo, brake rotor, timing belts

Question
Hello I'm  looking at buying this car with 165000 miles.  what problems specifically should i inquire about.  any typical probs with these?  in your opinion  same or better or worse than honda longevity thanks for anything you can help with !

Answer
Scott, they are great cars but have their share of issues.  Timing belts a must at every 70K miles.  There are also issues with A/C evaporators, abs control units and normal brake rotor issues.  Volvos are known for high milage and reliability.  You just have to put up with the quirks.  Before you buy, have a Volvo shop inspect it for you.  Roger
