Volvo Repair: 1994 Volvo 960, vacuum servo, 1994 volvo 960

Question
My A/C constantly malfunctions.  In 1998 I had a vacuum leak at the intake manifold repaired. In 2002 I had four new O rings and an evaperator replaced. One month ago I had ground wires replaced and the A/c still does not work properly.  Now the A/C shuts off for about one minute anytime I accelerate, then restarts. It blows hard, but it still does not get cool. My Volvo has 83,000 miles and is otherwise in good shape. Can it be repaired and at what cost and is it worth it for a 1994? I'm really tired of this. By the way, all of these repairs were done at Volvo dealers.  Thanks so much for any assistance you can give

Answer
Delores, Thats the problem of having one of these things.  They constantly have issues.  94 is one of the better years.  Your acceleration problem is whats called a vacuum servo.  Most likely its the one that is on the case for the recirculation function.  This is a expensive labor one.  I would think about trading this thing in before it will nickel and dime you to death.  Roger
