Volvo Repair: 1994 850 turbo volvo, turbo volvo, radiater

Question
thanks for all your help roger. the things you told me to do or check worked to a point, there was a hose that was just deteriated. but now of course we have another problem.the black pvc pipe coming out of the turbo over the engine down in front of the engine and goes underneath the radiater has probably a teaspoon of oil coming out of it when you rev the motor to about 2000 or 3000 rpm's. we have no boost pressure coming out of the turbo is there anyway that the turbo is damaged or done with. is there anyway to do some kind of check or something. i am just lost the car wont idle again either any ideas that you might have would be greatly appreciated. once again thanks a bunch.....tanya leon

Answer
Tanya, Its possible the turbo is bad or perhaps the waste gate rod has come  off, causing the no boost.  Personally I have only seen 2 Turbo chargers go bad on 850's in 10 years so its rare that they fail.  There has to be another hose that is ripped.  Roger
