Volvo Repair: starts only when engine cools down, proper designation, inner fender

Question
Hi,
I have a 1990 760 turbo. When car has sat and engine is cool, it will start and run very well. However after a short trip (3-4 miles) and engine warms up,  if I attempt to start it after turning it off, it will not re-start until after I wait 10-15 minutes for it to cool off.
The engine compression, valves, timing are fine. It has passed emissions okay,(new O2 sensor) coil is new, starter is new, cap/rotor, plugs, also new. And I cannot find any loose contacts.

I checked fuel system codes(pin 2)and I will get two different readings, always one right after the other, they are: 3-1-2 then 2-2-3.

I then checked ignition system codes( pin 6) and the reading was consistant each time as: 2-1-3.

I may be wrong about each pins proper designation, but those are the readings I got from each specific pin terminal.

I hope you can assist me in diagnosing this problem, It is my favorite kind of problem, -intermittent, and nobody has been able to help me so far. And if I hear "it's your coil dude" one more time, ....I may shoot myself! (not really)
Thank you in advance for your help!
Rick

Answer
Hello Rick, Well keep the "Safty" on for now, however heat seems to be the common thread. The ignition system has what is called an "Ignition Amplifier".Its mounted on the drivers inner fender next to the ballist res.pack.It generates alot of heat hence the aluminum disipater.Age is a factor also, miles? It Controls Spark pulse from the fuel computer.Soooooo,it may be almost "the coil".The codes you logged are timming related and Knock sensors, openning of the idle motor can both make starting and life difficult.
