Volvo Repair: considering a 95 850 volvo, dollar job, recurrent problems

I've owned several 740's & now I'm thinking about buying an 850 ...BUT never having owned one before I wonder if there are problems these models are prone to...design flaws, recurrent problems.  What about the drive train?

Any insight you can provide would be appreciated

95 would be a good year I would definatley check the transmission fluid and have it flushed to avoid problems.the only other real problem is the evaporators for the A/C go bad.about a 1000 dollar job.other than that I WOULD HAVE IT CHECKOED OVER BY A VOLVO MECHANIC IF POSSIBLE.
