Cadillac: auto-leveling trouble, air leak, air lines

'98 devile scrapes while driving.  I can hear the compressor running but the car doesn't level out.  The pump will only come on when car is first started.  The car used to rise but would eventually start dragging on long rides.  Now it won't do anything, although the compressor is still on.

check the air lines going from the compressor to the shocks/struts for signs of an air leak. Also check to see if one or both of the shocks/struts may have a leak in it.

If you cannot find any leaks in the small plastic air lines the fault may be in the HEIGHT SENSOR.
