Cadillac: 89 Eldorado cooling fan fault, fault message, anwer

Question
I keep getting the cooling fan fault message and the fans sometimes kick in at 192 degrees then maybe at 203, then maybe at 226.  I have been in stop and go traffic without being able to pull over when the temp has gone to 248 and finally able to pull over when the temp reached 262 and the dash temperature warning lamp came on.  I just replaced my radiator which blew 2 weeks ago and I think I should replace the fan control module based on a question and anwer on 5/16/06.  Should I, and if so how do I know what the part number is and more importantly, where to find it other than the dealer. Thanks.

Not necessarily. It could be the temp sensor, Fan relay or the control module.
