i had a tune up a year ago my battery is two years old check enigine light has been on for almost four years i paid dodge repair shop 1600 hundred dollars to fix the problem six months later the light came back on and it's been on every since.once the car has started i have no problems it runs good. it's when it sits for a long period of time thats when it's hard to start.

Answer
OK,That's what i needed to get us started. If the check engine light is on then you have probably a sensor problem somewhere. When the engine light comes on it saves a code to the computer.Take the car to an Autozone or a parts store that has a code reader and let them hook the scanner to the car. They will tell you exactly what the problem is.Don't mess with the dealers because you'll pay dearly.Autozone does not charge to hook the scanner to the car.I'm just sorry they took your money and the problem still exists. The problem will not go away until the sensor is changed out.And when they scan it for you if you still don't feel comfortable with what they tell you reply to this again and i'll tell you what it means. If you do just remember what part they say is defective. Thanks RamMan
