we have a ford galaxy what has done 107 000 miles just been through mot  had to renew exhaust complete , but since its back on road it drives ok but if you take foot off accelerator it is jerking and not running smooth been on a computer at garage it says no problems but even on tick over its runs rough any ideas thanks  c delacoe

What year is this Galaxy?


"just been through mot"?  Does this mean that the engine has been rebuilt?

"even on tick it runs rough"  I am usnure what this means.


Has the car been sitting ?  for how long?  is the fuel fresh?

Has the carburetor been rebuilt and correctly set-up?

How is the ignition timing and does the vacuum and mechanical advance work correctly?


Is the timing chain good? and installed correctly?

What is engine vacuum at idle?
