Ford: 89 ford ranger 2.9 motor sounds clicking, 89 ford ranger, likley need

i have a 2.9 motor in my 89 ranger 2wd when engine is running i hear the sound  clicking really loud. you know whats wrong with it? some guys says rods bearing? if it is rod bearing could it be replaced withoput pulling eng out?

It depends on the time that the clicking sound happens... that will determon what is creating the noise... if it is rod bearings you will most likley need to remove the engine to replace them... you might want to try some type of lucas or something like that to quiet them down... let me know some more info and I'll be happy to help you... .
