Ford: opening my trunk, screw driver, square hole

Question
i have a 1991 camaro someone tried to break in to the trunk and broke the locking cylinder out of it now there is a hole and what apears to be another square hole behind that ive tried to use a flat head screwdriver to open it but there is nothing for the screwdriver to turn im confused how do i open my trunk i cant get to the inside of the latch because of the speaker box i built for it and now i cant get it out most likly thats why they tried to breakin anyways and i want to remove it so they dont try smashing my rear window please help sorry its not a ford

Answer
mike not to worry use a flash light look inside and see if the unlock rod is still in there if it is then you have to use pliers to turn it or pull it out then use a screw driver when you live in N.Y.you find this out real quick.when someone pull out your lock all they usably get is just the lock assm. and the rod stays there .Try this and let me know
