Ford: spare tire, ford ranger 4x4, ford ranger

Question
this may sound like a stupid question, but i have a 1993 ford ranger 4x4 supercab 4.0 6cyl. my question is , where the spare tire is mounted underneath the bed, what holds the tire in place and where can i purchase one? i'm assuming that there is a large wing bolt that holds the tire in place with a bolt. a'm i right? thanks for any imput.

Answer
kevin if you look under your tail gate were the gap is between the gate and your bumper you will see a hole and if you put your jack handle which is located either behind your rear seat or under your hood put this thru the hole and this will crank down the spare tire if there is not one there then go to the junk yard and get one there'its called a crank assy. good luck
