Ford: running lamps, 1999 mercury sable, daytime running lights

why does my running lights stay on when car is off and keys not in the ignition? I unpluged the light switch and it didn't help. Also unpluged the ignition and still nothing. the only thing that works is removing the battery cable or two low beam fuses. Your advice would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

Does this vehicle have day time running lights or auto head lamps?

hook every thing back up go to the front of the car in the center of the grill in front of the rad. you will a DRL (day time running ) module a black box un pluge it if the lights go out .this will probably solve your problems.let me know.if you don't want to spend the money to replace it go to the dealer and get a jumper with will by pass it. good luck
