GM-GMC: brakes, emergency brake, car battery

Question
My brake light came on. I pulled on the emergency brake but it didn't go out now it's flashing for a couple of days. The brakes are fine. Pedeal is as usual.

to reset that light you can remove your car battery for about 15 mins.
it sounds as if there maybe an issue with the emergency brake and even if the pedal came back out as usual that doesnt mean that the brake actually released.. i still would take it to a shop that does free brake estimates to see if there is a issue with the actual hardware besides the pedal.
