GM-GMC: labor time on engune exchange, gm crate engine, chevolet

I have a 2003 chevolet box truck and need to have the engine replaced. I dont want to get taken for a ride. It has a 8.1 gas with a automatic, ps, air hydro boost brake system. I want to know the labor timee for a gm crate engine including change over of parts required. Thank you for your time and trouble.

I woudl be hesistant to quote a job like that.  those trucks can be difficult to work around at times.  I rough estimate would be in the 12-18 hour range.  Half a day to get it out, half a day to swap things over and start putting it back in and a second day to finish up and road test it, I would never rush a job like that.
