GM-GMC: Lifting a Truck, rims and tires, performance shop


Question
Im looking to lift a truck about 2 ft.  and was wondering how much it would cost to do it.  Second what would I need to do this.  I know very little about cars, trucks ect; but my brother in law knows quite a bit.  Was wondering about tires rims suspension engine gearing everything.  i know this is a huge question but anything would help.

There are a number of ways of 'lifting' a truck.  You can do a body lift, not 2' though, a suspension lift, or just rims and tires, again not 2'.  In order to gain 24" you will have to replace nearly the entire suspension.  Your best bet is to contact a performance shop of search on-line for kits to fit what ever truck you are considering lifting.
