GM-GMC: 1999 GMC Suburban, intake manifold gasket, gmc suburban

Question
I have a 99 GMC Suburban it has 5.7 liter engine, automatic and it is 4-wheel drive. This vehicle  has a water leak some where on the rear of the motor on the driver side. I have been unable to locate it. I have use Barr stop leak and it seems not to stop it . The water runs out. It acts like maybe freeze out plug. But the leak seems to be higher and more to the left..Please help..

Answer
It is probably the head gasket, from the description of the location, but it might also be the intake manifold gasket.

The vehicle should go to a shop where dye can be placed into the coolant.  This will allow the location of the leak to be pinpointed.
