GM-GMC: 1996 chevy blazer gas smell, chevy blazer, fuel leak

Hi , I have a 1996 chevy blazer4x4 and have been getting a raw gas smell coming throught the vents. I have 91,000 miles on it. Also I have been hearing a squishy sound like transmission fluid  every now and then.

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made.


Raw gas smell comes from either a fuel leak within the engine compartment OR a leak in the fuel VAPOR and or emission hoses. LOOK carefully for leaks.


When does this squishy sound usually occur and be long and lengthy in your response.
