GM-GMC: oldsmobile drivability, damper pulley, crankshaft sensor

Question
we have a '94 88 Royale. it started running rough and almost stalling. no dash warnings, no codes at autozone. we r&r'd O2 sensor, fuel filter, plugs & cables w/ little improvement. then the engine started clacking and we found a failed damper pulley. replaced that and the c-shaft sensor pickup. starts fine and runs with low power, and shakes at idle and low speeds. runs smoother at hiway speeds. there was a fuel fillup about the time the trouble started. i think we had two problems and solved the damper but not the other one. Thanks.

Answer
Since this problem occured AFTER a fuel fill up, You most likely got some bad fuel, Try putting in 2 bottles of DRY GAS as in most cases the fuel is contaminated with WATER and the DRY GAS will breakup the water molecules and allow them to pass thru the fuel tank micron filter and be expelled thru the engine.

Just keep topping off the fuel tank with PREMIUM fuel and the vehicle should return to normal operation within a tank full or 2 of GOOD FUEL.

There is also the possibility that the CRANKSHAFT SENSOR got damaged and or knocked out of position when the DAMPER PULLEY failed and or when it was replaced.
