GM-GMC: Headlights, halogen bulbs, replacement bulbs

What is the easiest way to replace headlights?
Do you go through the front or the back to get to the bulb?

 You did not mention witch side you are replacing. And, you are right at the year cut-off between replacement bulbs and the entire sealed beam assymbly. So.....If they are replaceable halogen bulbs always to in from the engine side it may be difficult and sometimes the battery has to be removed in order to access one side. If you are replacing the Sealed beam assy. always access on the ouside to replace.
