GM-GMC: Where do I hook the starter wires at the starter, replacement starters, live wire

Question
I didn't pay attention when I pulled the wires off the starter where they would go back onto.  I have a 88 gmc 5.0

Answer
Jesse,

Basicly you should only have wires with "eyelid" or round style connectors on them and these corospond in size to the studs on the starter selnoid. I hope your battery (-)
is unhooked at this time otherwise your playing with a live wire! Anyways, the large diameter eyelid can only fit properly over the large stud on the starter, the same with the small one, if you have more then one large/ small they go to the same large/small stud. There is also one stud that usually has a wire(large braided/usually) going onto the starter case from the selnoid, no other wires should be connected to this stud. Usually the replacement starters come with new nuts and washers witch will be loosly installed on the two studs you need to in stall the wires on. Hope this helps.....
