Honda: 1994 honda civic, brenda barrett, stock wheels

Question
Dear Barrett,
I have a 1994 Honda Civic LX. I just got it going after I wrecked it in november. It hydroplaned and I lost control of it, and it hit the wall and knocked the rotor and passenger front tire off.I put stock wheels and tires back on it, but the front end still feels odd, what else do I need to look at? I had just recently put the driver's C.v. axle on, and that side of the car seems o.k. I know that it is hard to make a diagnoses over the internet, but I don't want to get screwed. I already have one mechanic after me to sell the car.I think that I can fix it.

Answer
Does this mechanic want to purchase the car himself, or is he just advising you?  From what you say, I'd guess that you've bent the "Frame".  Of course Hondas don't really have frames; they have what we call a unibody.  This, in your case, would mean that you have to sell the car.  Unibodies are extremely difficult to repair if damaged.
Something to do is, take it to a tire shop that does allignments and see how much it would be for a check-up.  If they say damaged unibody, sell, but do not lie to any potential buyers, because there are laws governing this.
Good Luck Brenda,
Barrett.
