Honda: Door/ Window problems, satisfactory job, rubber seal

Question
I have a 1999 Honda Civic and the driver's side window has always been tough to roll up and down.
A month ago the window jumped out of the guides inside the door and would not roll up correctly. We took it to a body shop and they temporarily fixed the problem, but now I cannot roll the window up or down. They told me that the problem was the rubber seal around the window frame, but these are the same people who cannot keep the window in the guides. What needs to be done to get the window to work correctly? I really don't want to buy a new/ used door. Being overseas makes it a little difficult to get stuff done.

Answer
You paid for the body shop to repair your window.  If they didn't do a satisfactory job, you will most likely be eligable for some type of guarantee.  Most will back their work for at least one year, and some for the life of your vehicle.  If you're tired of dealing with them, then you should take off the interior body panel and locate the source of the problem.

Good luck,
Barrett.
