Mercedes: blower malfunction, bullet type, ground wires

97 C280 blower works occasionally. lots of heat and cold just no fan. it comes on for a bit when I brake hard?

It sounds as though your have a loose connection or one that has corrosion. Iwould remove the blower fuse and clean the tips and the holder. If the ceramic bullet type fuse is aluminum, then replace with a copper type and polish the tips.
Also look for ground wires and clean these places.
