Mercedes: sl500 convertible top, benzworld, google

Hi I own a 2000 SL500 Convertible and have recently had oil leaking from the sun visor screws, in that area, since that leakage the top won't go down. Is there a hydraulic system in these tope? If so what do you suggest could be the problem and a proposed fix?

Yes, I expect that you have a seal leak around one of the supply lines or rams. It will be necessary to get the fluid schematic for this top. Google your vehicle and check for manuals.
You may also want to look at www.benzworld.org/forum. There may be a person with a similar problem.
