-----Question-----
Had a new radiator and thermostat put in my car and then ended up in the hospital w/carbon monoxide poisoning.  Car not heating up all the way.  Any chance thermostat in backwards could cause exhaust backup in the cab.
-----Answer-----
DO you have an exhaust leak? Did the car heat up properly before you had the thermsotat put in? It sounds like they didnt put one in at all. Take it another place for a second opinion. To answer you question: A backwards tstat would make your car overheat. The housings that hold them are usually designed not to allow reverse installation.

Answer
I though I answered this already. Melissa, go have your thermostat replaced and only use an OE part. If the car was fine why was the radiator replaced??? They dont go bad. You need to take the car back if they screwed it up. MAke them fix it. Use a credit card for payment.
