Oldsmobile/Buick: unknown electronic symbol, oldsmobile intrigue, pdf manuals

Dear Ed Mckenna,
i have a 1999 oldsmobile intrigue which has been running fine. When i purchased this used car fro the dealer i did not get any owners intruction manual. recently i noticed there was a symbol like a small tub with water level and an arrow pointing downwards in the middle. This only comes on for a while when i start the engine in cold weather. It disappears by itself. the oil change is not due for anothr 2000 miles.
can u help me with this mysterious symbol?

Unfortunately I can't find any online .pdf manuals for your car . Remember when you start the vehicle just about any car with warning lights will come on all at once and then turn off .If you want to test this theory then turn the key just forward enough not to start the engine .

The light your describing sounds more like the temperature light then anything .  

I would also advise you too purchase the manual for your car . You'd be surprised at how many little things you never even knew about the car your driving . Below is almost a liazon link to e-bay . Coincidentally e-bay does have a few listed in and around $12 .
