Saab: fan sound when car is off, radiator cooling fan, antifreeze

Hi Jerry-
2002 Saab 9-3 For the past week every time I turn the ignition on there is a fan sound that seems like it is behind the console that runs the whole time the car is on and continues after it is off for several minutes.  It does it every time now and never did before.  Thanks for any advice!

 Sounds like the radiator cooling fan which when things are all working properly rarely comes on, except during idling in stopped traffic. I would check first the antifreeze level which I suspect is low ASAP and if after monitoring it for a few days it is low again,  investigate further as to the reason...most likely a leaking hose or radiator.
