Saab: 92 900 clutch shaft issue, Saab clutch shaft alignment

Question
Could you please help.  I have a '92 saab 900 that I just
replaced the clutch slave on.  When I tried to reinstall
the clutch shaft it goes in most of the way but remains out
3/4 of an inch or so.  It is making contact and I was able
to move the car but i am unable to push or tap it the rest
of the way in. Any idea on what i am doing wrong. Thanks

Answer
Kyle:
The problem is that the clutch disc is not exactly centered..the shaft is therefore misaligned with the throwout bearing.
What you must do is loosen all the clutch pressure plate bolts sufficiently to allow centering of the disc freely..you must 'wiggle it around' a bit at the same time putting light pressure on the shaft to push it in all the way.

  Hope this helps,
