Toyota: 95 Camry ABS light on after front Axles change, abs light, computer self

Question
hi,
When I went to STS to change four tires, they said my front axles need to replace. I paid over $1000 but my ABS light keeps on after replacing the front axles. I asked them for the ABS light, but they told me that it is normal. It will take up to 1,000 miles driving to make the ABS light off. It's computer self training and adjusting for a new axle. The ABS is working even the light is currently on.

Is this ture? Or they just bs on me. I never heard this before and can't find any information online to confirm their words.

Please help. Thank you very much

Answer
Hello,

I'm not sure, but it's possible that they broke one (or both) of your ABS sensors.. this is possible during this kind of repair.
Try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes, then reconnect it and drive and see if the light is still on, if it does, it's for sure something damaged.

hope this helps!
Regards,
Jack
