Volkswagen: 71 autostick torque convertor install, autostick, transmition

I installed my motor and autostick transmition and the torque convertor is not working now. should I have put atf in the torque convertor before installing it? I thought the pump would fill it up but it looks like this is not the case.

Hi Charles,

Yes, you should have filled it about half way up prior to installing.  However, if you remove the fill tube that leads from the oil pump, you can manually pump some fluid in there with a manual oil pump kit.
