Volkswagen: VW GOLF 2001 GTI 1.8T, road debris, computer readout

My computer readout in the car does not show the outside air temperature anymore.  COuld you please tell me where the outside air temperature sensor is located so I can check if it has become unplugged?

off of the top of my head,...no.  However, if you look at the front of your car... it is either located in the grill area, or the lower air dam.  (I say this because VW has moved them over the years to different spots)  They are two wire elements and yours is probably ripped off by road debris or a curb.  Pretty inexpensive fix and you should be right as rain.  let me know if you need anymore help,
