Volkswagen: Vanagon Rear Alignment, alignment shop, vanny

Question
I went to an alignment shop and they told me they could not adjust the camber anymore than it currently is. I looked over the previous owners records and saw the same problem when they tried to have it aligned. The rear trailing arms seem very stout so would that mean the axle stub is bent? The Camber is bad enough that it slightly pulls to the right and it is the rear right wheel that is the problem....any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

Answer
Hi Andrew,

My guess is that the previous owner skidded sideways and smacked the rear-end into a curb.

That usually causes this type of problem.

I wish I had better news.   Your next step should be to bring it to a body shop and get a free estimate.   See how much it would cost to have your Vanny's Fanny straightend.

Best of luck.  Please keep me posted.
