I have a serious problem, because my car isn't starting at all. I have tried to do all i can but still i cant find the problem. Car is starting but there is no spark in sparkplugs. Is it normal that there is electricity going through in one circle (tested from motor electronics fuse) when ignition is not in use. It seems also that battery is loosing power somewhere. Earlier i had problems that now and then battery did gone empty when car stayed over night. i changed ignition coil, and ignitin control unit beside it. I also changed high voltage wires and distributor. Hall-sender is working fine. What could be a problem. Any Suggestions? Could it be that electricity is disappearing to car body or through charger or...Electricity comes to ignitin coil. Also electricity is coming to ECU. No fuses burned. I have trid to inspect if there is faulty wires but i cant find any.

the engine ecu will continueously draw power, as it goes to a "sleep" mode when it is idle for a while, but it will use a little power. Maximum current draw with the car locked (for at least 15 minutes before testing should be no more than 0.5 amps). if this is not within limits, then remove each fuse in turn until the amps drops to acceptable levels. this should identify the circuit which is drawing power. if the current draw is below 0.5 amps, then it is likely that the battery isn't holding charge and may need replacing.          if you have replaced the ignition amplifier unit, and the cap and leads are ok, not to mention hall sender in distributer working properly then there is no logical reason for not having a spark. the only thing that may cause a problem is an ignition rectifier ( but not sure if your car has one ). otherwise pull back rubber boots on connectors under bonnet and make sure that no wires have split inside the boot, and the multi plug is not corroded. check the engine earth straps.  Im sorry to say that is as much info as i can give you in the form of remote assistance. hope it helps.

it was my radio which was using the power. I have explored all wires and have not found any problems. I must give my hands up, because in my opinion  also, there shouldnt be any problems why car isnt starting. Could it be ECU? Can i test it somehow? Is there any possible way to read fault codes on my own? I have document which tell all meanings of those fault codes, if i just could read them anyhow. Or should it be done in carage? Could you tell me, could any other faulty sensor than hall sensor, cause this non-starting problem. Is there e.g. camshaft position sensor in vw -92? Is there any relay that could be causing this problem. I replaced x-relay and fuel pump relay and no effect. what are the other relays?
have anyone had similar problems and what have been actual problems?

Answer
the other relays are indicators, wash wipe etc. i cannot think of anything other than the distributer (hall sender) or the coil pack which would prevent it from sparking. there is no way that you can read the fault codes, it needs to be done by a garage with suitable equipment. sorry i can't be of more assistance.
