Volvo: 1991 740SW Volvo, neutral safety switch, jumper wire

Question
My 1991 740SW Volvo will not turn over. Turn the key and nothing happens. Have power to lights, windows, dashboard. Replaced battery since it was old. Still no changes. There was no problems prior to this.

Answer
Robin,
See if the blue/green wire is on the starter and in good condition. Test it for power with the key in the crank position. Using a jumper wire, jump the blue/green (small wire) to the larger red wire, will the starter operate? If it works the starter is ok. From the ignition switch the large Pink wire sends power to the neutral safety switch, then to the starter. Follow and see what has power and where it stops.
At the neutral switch the wire changes from pink to blue/green.
