Volvo: volvo heat and turbo, ouit, heater valve

I HAVE A 89 740 TURBO WAGON. WHEREVER I PUT MY HEAT CONTROL IT STILL BLOWS COLD AIR. ALSO WHEN I KICK MY TURBO IN TO PASS IT BOGGS OUT.

When you operate the controls do you feel as if there is some resistance to the levers to know if they are working the blend doors? Heater hoses attached and getting hot? Heater valve working open and closed with vacuum? Coolant to proper level? Is the t/stat good, engine temp in middle range?

Jerry for the boggng check all the turbo plumbing and intercooler for holes loose hoses. If all that will not show up any fault find a shop that works on Volvo's and have them take the car ouit for a ride.
