Volvo: electical problems, sas system, volvo 850

Question
I have a 1996 volvo 850; for the last 5 years, the battery discharges. We thought we had it fixed but no. Somehow, we think the problem may be tied into the electric windows and/or the alarm system.  Every time we have it checked out, the dealer or repair palce says no shorts.

Has anyone else complained about this? Or this model year?


We really love this car - it only has 49,000 miles on it and is still a beautiful car

There have been reports where the small red light in the door jamb stays on after closing the door, the glove box light, trunk light, relay for the cooling fan and relay for the air pump (if the car has the SAS system) stick causing a current draw.
