Volvo: 2000 S70 GLT SE ABS, volvo specialist, s70 glt

Question
Problem/symptoms: dashboard message dISC, following waring lights are on, check engine, ABS and brake. Dealer diagnosis was to replace ABS module. The car is used, but  maintained well, I have all of the service records. I choose to replace ABS w/rebuilt module @ my regular mechanic. Symptoms returned after 2 days. I was referred to a volvo specialist (not dealer) and they said maybe a bad ABS module, my mechanic replaced w/ another rebuildt module. Symptoms again came back. The Volvo specialist shop cleared codes and suggested a new ignition, which also did not work. Now I am being advised to replace ABS module with a factory unit. Do you think this is a wise choice, should I just take it to the dealer? With winter approaching I want my car repaired and the speedometer & cruise control to function properly. My car also has a winter package and I am concerned that it will not work if the correct repairs are not done. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Tish,
After all the trouble that you seem to be having, yes go to the dealer something must have been over looked. Might be that the control units are not good quality or the wrong ones. Hard to say it would need some inspection and diagnosis time to find the faults.
