I am replacing front camshaft seals on this 2.4 turbo with VVT.  I need to know how to install the exhaust camshaft sprocket.  I removed it and found that there was no key slot.  Do I need to line up rear camshafts with a special tool before installing VVT unit?  Thank you.

Since the VVT was taken off to replace the seal the VVT needs to installed by the book. To set that the cams need to be held in place while the VVT is set. Get the procedure from the book it is a painstaking process, but quite able to be done. Some parts stores will have the procedures they can print for you.
