Volvo: antenna mast, antenna mast, bottom case

Own a 2000 s70 GLT SE. The antenna mast needs replaced. Motor seems to run. How do you replace the mast and retractable coil?

Remove the cap on the antenna turn on the radio the mast will come out. Guide it up and out with the plastic tail. Compare the plastic tail to the new mast making sure they are the same lengeth. If the plastic tail has broken off inside the motor remove antenna and take apart the bottom case to remove the plastic tail. Remount the antenna and radio on feed the new mast as far in as you can turn radio off and as mast retracts guide it and refit sleeve and cap.
